5 Ways to Repurpose Eastcoast Juice Bottles For a Greener Lifestyle

Upcycle Your Life!

At Eastcoast Beverages, we’re deeply committed to sustainability and lowering our carbon footprint as much as possible. As part of our ‘Return, Regrow, Renew’ philosophy, we ensure that nothing of our product is wasted.

You may not know, but our bottles and packaging, including our label, are 100% recyclable – ensuring they can be returned or repurposed in their next life. But what about at home? We’ve put together five creative and innovative ways you can upcycle Eastcoast bottles once you’ve enjoyed your favourite juices. This is a great way to explain to kids about recycling and its importance whilst having a little bit of fun along the way.

Level Up Your Garden With These Perfect Planter Boxes!

Upcycled Bottles

We love the land we work on and have the deepest respect for Mother Nature, which is why you can easily upcycle our bottles to create these hanging planters – perfect for nurturing seedlings, herbs or even displaying indoor plants for terrariums.

All you need to do is rinse your bottles and carefully cut your desired planter shape and lay some potting mix, followed by mulch and plant whatever piece of greenery you like.

Keep Everything Organised with Kid-Friendly Storage!

We understand that life can get a little busy with kids and there is no better feeling than being a little more organised! Whether it’s Lego, toys, pencils or pens, our bottles make the perfect storage container to keep the playroom neat and tidy.

All you need to do is carefully cut your Eastcoast bottle into your desired storage shape (a tip from us – keep the handles for easy transportation!) and voila! You have your customised and upcycled storage containers.

Connect With Wildlife With Your Very Own Crafty Bird Feeder!

We love getting out and about in nature, and what better way to connect with the flora and fauna that surrounds us. Give your Eastcoast packaging a second life by upcycling and becoming a bird feeder. This is a fun-filled family project and gives you plenty of opportunity to get creative.

For our juice bottles, carefully cut a space that’s going to be large enough for your feathered visitors to access, and using a small knife, poke a few holes in the bottom of the jug for drainage. Then, let your ‘creative juices’ run wild – decorate your bottle with permanent markers, cover with sequins or paint to your heart’s content.

For our juice cartons, again, carefully cut a space that’s going to be big enough for birds, and poke a few holes at the bottom for drainage. As for the design? We’ll leave that up to you, but we sure like the green owl!

Once your designs are complete, finish with twine and hang them wherever you desire. To look after our birds and to not interfere with their diet, we encourage that you to only use proper bird feed or suitable seeds.

Save Your Pennies With a Custom Piggy Bank!

We absolutely love this idea of upcycling our Eastcoast bottles into piggy-inspired banks using our 4L Orange Juice bottle. Along with teaching your kids the value of recycling, you can also use this project to teach them the importance of saving those hard earned pennies for a rainy day.

To craft your piggy bank, all you need is some pink paint and some crafty items for ears and eyes. Rinse out your Eastcoast bottle and carefully with scissors, make a slit. Have fun decorating and watching your savings grow!

Keep Your Plants in Tip-Top Shape With an Eastcoast Bottle Watering Can!

Did you know there is absolutely zero waste in the manufacturing of our juices? Our washdown water is treated and sent back out to our orchards to replenish and re-juice the trees. This concept is the perfect inspiration for you to craft your very own Eastcoast bottle watering can so you can replenish your pots, plants and flowers at home.

It is so simple and easy to make, all you need to do is carefully punch a number of holes in the lid, fill the bottle with water and your very own watering can is good to go! Let the kids’ creative imagination run wild with decorations.

How Do You Upcycle Yours?

We believe in the future of our planet and are actively taking steps to improve our commitment to sustainability, now and well into the future. Have you upcycled your Eastcoast bottles in an innovative way or have a suggestion that we can add to the list? We’d love to hear from you and your amazing upcycling ideas, reach out to the Eastcoast team today and we might even feature you across our socials!
